Hi guys. I was seriously inspired by the recent Black Diamond Pearl's posted (auto.pilot's blew me away) and so I decided to give my '71 20/13/16 kit a new life with a Novus bath and chrome polish. These are 3-plys with clear interiors and a 402 Supra of the same year. Why is it that when drums are cleaned up they just seem to sound better?

Thanks for the comments, guys. Yes, they do sound great. Mike, I'm with you on the rail mount - it's something I particularly like about this B/O kit. Here are a few more views showing that mount.

I think it must be that the drums are happy to have been cleaned and therefore sound better in appreciation for the love they have received.

Maybe not... but I sure like it when my drums are clean!

That kit looks beautiful. By the way, that is a fantastic looking set of steps you have there.
