1964/1965 Ludwig set in white wrap? Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hi! I wanted to know what the chances are that my ludwig set has an original white wrap. It‘s a Super Classic/Hollywood set with keystonenbadges with serial numbers between 1964 and 1965. The sizes are 22x14, 13x9 and 16x16. It has the white paint in the inside. The previous owner was the original owner. He bought the kit in San Francisco in the late 60s. He says he bought it new and it cost a lot. The bass drum has a sticker in the resonant head that says Drumland. I searched and found that Drumland was an important Drum Shop in San Francisco in the 60s. The man says the wrap has necer been changed and that the drums are all original. They are in good condition. How probable is it that this is a custom/out of catalog order? Does that actually happen? I‘ll post some pictures when I get the time. Thanks!

Pictures definitely needed.

Are you sure it is a wrap and not Duco white lacquer paint?

Well, sorry to dissapoint you. It was a deal too good to be true. The wrap is definately not original and I‘m also thinking the floor tom isn‘t even a 60s lidwig tom. The outer layer is maple and the wood joint is almost not noticeable.

They are mine, they were on the way to me and the shipping company messed up and sent one piece at a time. At the time of the first message I had only seen in person the 13x9 and it was looking not that bad. Yersterday came the rest of the packages and I had time to inspect the kit. The deal had been a really nice one, now I‘m not so happy anymore.
