I wanted to share some pics of the Ludwig I picked up last weekend. Pretty clean and original. The bass drum heads are original along with the snare and floor tom heads. The bass, tom, and floor tom are all 1964 with a pre-serial pioneer snare. The kit included the Original Speed King, hi-hat stand, two cymbal stands and 3 60s Zildjian Avedis cymbals.

Sorry, it is not a pioneer snare. It is a 8 lug Jazz Festival snare.
Great looking set! I would love to have that snare for my silver sparkle set.
I am just wondering. Did the 60's Ludwigs have wing screws on the tom mounts or the hexagonal nuts that requred the tool? or those could be replacements. Looks like you need the bass drum cymbal mount but you can find one easy enough. Set looks well taken care of.

The snare is pre-serial and sounds amazing. It had the original heads which i replaced. The original wires look and sound like new. I do not beleive that the wing nuts are replacements and i do have the cymbal mount. These pics were taken with my phone while i was cleaning the many years of dust off.
