I went looking for more on MetJazz, and they are fascinating drums. There is a great picture of an inlay kit in this thread on La Drummerie featuring Fred Bianci:

Yes, it was a beautiful restoration !! ... You saw the snare restored, but here is some pics before and during the restoration ... Let's go !

Before restoration, it was in poor condition... all decors were unstuck, and wrap was retracted, some brilliant were missed, all lugs were unplated, rusty screws and other sweet surprises...
