It's not just the drums you find that blow my mind, it's the condition that you find them in! And consistently too. Again thanks for sharing your gem finds with us lowly peons who couldn't hope to come across a drum like that in a million years. Amazing collection you have amassed.

Who do I have to blow to get into your will? :D

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks for the kind words. Some of the drums come to me in not so good condition so sometimes there is a bit of cleaning/restoration involved.

So besides your book 2 showing your fantastic collection, any chance you will publish something about the techniques you use to clean and restore these beauties ? Would love to hear more about how you bring them back to life

Michael

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Don't go all humble on me. It's all to your credit, Mike. You go out of your way to do professional quality cleaning and restoration every time. That takes care, time, money and dedication. You even have specialist go-to guys when the job calls for it. You have set the bar high for collectors and archivists everywhere. Speaking as somebody who genuinely loves the instrument it's always a pure pleasure and a joy to follow your drum-land adventures. Again I offer you a sincere thanks for going out of your way to include us. It's a fun ride.

This one's great, Mike. The Classic Gold finish goes perfect with the shell, & the angled bead really fits the lines of the Imperials. Cast hoops & floral engraving all come together so sweet. A truly beautifully-designed snare. Thanks for sharing........marko
