I remember talking to Han Bennink in 1988 at the Bim Huis in Amsterdam after his concert,and he told me that he has to pay for the rest of her life....to a lady who got her eye knocked out from the tip of 1 of his drumsticks that broke off,and shot into the crowd...:(

What is the chance of that?

Is it paid by him or the insurance? You should always have insurance in case “the unthinkable” happens.

Based on Tort law, the courts would have had to have found him negligent in some way to hold him financially responsible.

I am sure it heavily depends on where the incident occurred. In America, I have no doubt some lawyer would sue for that. Actually, no doubt the lady would have several options of legal representation........

In other countries, their laws would obviously dictate, and most assuredly they are vastly different than ours on many levels.
