I admire your dedication to never give up seeking only perfection. That's a long time to look for "the one" drum. And to aquire it as well. Very cool story's thanks for sharing them. Enjoy!

Disagree. I think he got a bargain. He got exactly what he wanted. No ripoff at all. All parties are happy. End of story.

LudwigDrummer, I'm happy you finally found your drum.

And, you're actually playing the drum, good for you man!

Stunning drums - both of them. Congrats on your find. $7 grand is a small price to pay for 25 years worth of dreams, less than a cup of coffee per day. Good for you.

Naw, you didn't get ripped off. You could have only gotten ripped off if the drum you got was misrepresented.

Could I have done that? Probably not, but then I didn't have a 25 year legacy searching for the 'one' perfect snare.

Two beautiful drums, each its own version of an OBP Jazz Fest. That's a great drum tale---a story of a lifetime---& says a lot about the kind of person you are. I appreciate the value you place on things you care about, & your relationship with money............marko

ps: I have an OBP JF, & it is the most faded version of this wrap I have ever seen. Oh well.......marko

Spectacular looking drums. I'd love to hear your special one someday. Please post when your song/album goes public as I'll bet a bunch of VDF members would check it out.

Peace & rhythm,

Seems like an awfully long story about a preposterously overpriced snare.
