What snares would you bring to record? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I stopped taking snares to one particular studio; they have several good snares of their own, but seemed to always want me to play on their Dynasonic.

Exactly! why complicate everything just bring a supa and a change of heads make it sound like you want it to and be done with it .. 3 4 5 snares is nutz music today is so freekin complicated it is no longer fun, in the 60 and 70's recording was fun sometimes exhausting but fun, seems like the fun factor has been taken over by tech, tech tech....and bunches of drums, guitars etc...

Couldn't agree more, most pop music today is over produced. Every millisecond is pulled apart and analyzed. The end result being some soulless sounding phony baloney crap...geeze I'm starting to sound like a grumpy old man.
