Andrew... SOLD!

PM me your mailing info, I'll get a US Postal money order out to you tomorrow. I'll include $100. for shipping. (If it's more... let me know.) Shipping the actual drums will be under a hundred bucks, but I want you to have some extra cash to pay for good boxes and bubble-wrap. When you're ready to ship. I'll walk you through the packing procedure. It'll guarantee the drums reach me in good condition.

Congrats buddy... you officially have a dance partner for your drums.

Smoke em if you got em! You'll be able to afford high quality hydro now! For the wedding of course... cough, cough. lol

Those are cool! Would you play them or just display them? Just asking because those old drums look so delicate.

Thank you!

Rk's are built like tanks, they can take a licking and keep on ticking.

Jeff - I'm a die-hard drummer. They're going to be played. The Band

I rotate between the kits I have every three months or so. The RK's will just go into the rotation. I don't ever buy drums for display... just ones I can play. Although, if the opportunity came up, I would never gig these drums. They're just a bit too old and rare for that. But they will be played.

I have oil painted most of my life, I'm good at mixing and matching colors. I'm hoping to touch-up any dingers, or bare spots, then I'll go over them starting with 600 + wet/dry papers and ending up with 1200. Then I'll give them a good clear-coat for protection for the next 50 years. I just bought a tumbler for polishing up old, rusty metal parts. When I'm done with these RK's, they're going to look Primo! I'll do a thread on them when I get going. Right now, I'm in the middle of getting my grandson's kit finished up. After that, the decks are clear and I can get into the RK's.

$ sent... waiting on the tubs.

Yes finding a snare in that painted marble finish will be a pia. But with your skills I bet you could replicate it on a nice solid shell. Wasn't the marble effect just applied with a sponge? That said I do see them for sale every so often. Just a matter of finidng a good price on one. Cool kit though!

Glenn - Just got them a few days ago. As you know, I am currently working on my grandson's Club Dates, but as soon as the decks are clear, I'll go to work on the RK's. I'll start a thread in the Restoration section. Look out for it.

The shells and hardware are in excellent condition. I have most of the original calf heads. I'd like to build a cradle for the 14" tom. Anybody have any ideas for the design or construction of a vintage floor-tom cradle? Jeff?
