Why in the world would one want to use a vintage drum for a coffee table? If your going to go such extreme buy a low budget bass drum that will not have any value.

Mikey's right. This drum looks to me to be a concert bass drum, and the "mounts" are original equipment that went with a rolling stand Ludwig had available for concert/symphonic band use. Here I go again: I've got a 36" concert bass drum with the "imperial" lugs. Also have the wooden hoops, but the calfskins heads that it did have are shot. I have most of the claws and t-rods, and would make someone one-heck-of-a-deal! Shipping wouldn't be cheap, however...Also, I've got a late 70s/early 80s 6-ply 32" concert bass drum shell and wood hoops plus a Ludwig brand fiber case. It's drilled for imperial lugs, but I don't have them. I'd make someone a good deal on it, too, but again the shipping won't be cheap...
Ok, Bill. You got me how much for pair of the bass drums you have? How deep are they 16" or 18"?...Trade's? Mikey
IM not gonna drill any holes or anything. Just put the sgt pepper logo and a piece of glass on it. I didnt give very much for this drum. I gave $85 for it and the paiste bass drum.I need something larger than a 22" I bought this drum for this specific reason. The paiste was included even though I didnt want it.
There were several others in the auction, but I liked this one! Why get some cheapo drum when I can have a cool one??? Heres the closed auction. My item was #1 described as a premier and paiste drum, but its a luddy >>>

hey Poppy, I think its a cool Idea, especially with the Sgt. Peppers logo! There is a printing place near me that does bass drum heads, the owner is a bass player. He quoted me around a $100 for something I wanted done and that included the head. Let me know if you need the guys info.

If Mikey passes, I may be interested.
I have a '55 Ludwig 36 x 16 concert bass drum that an old bass player saved from the landfill. Double 36's....
Also have a friend putting together a double 32 kit from 6 ply Luddies...

I'll let you know. Mikey and I were already working on one deal, but at times we're both a little slow. We were talking trade, and I'm the one who still hadn't got a list together for him yet on something we talked about a couple of weeks back.
The 36 isn't in the best shape. It does have a hole that needs to be repaired where it broke at the mount. It is repairable, and I probably ought to get that done before I deal with either of you.
The 32 is is good shape. I also have a 6-ply Ludwig Monroe keystone 30", and a 6-ply 28" as well. Both white cortex, black wood hoops with no inlay grooves, high-tension "mach" style lugs. Both in pretty good shape.
I bought out a music store last summer of over 30 years worth of mostly school trade-ins. I've sold a lot of it but still have a lot left... my wife would like to be able to reclaim some of the garage...

Here is a phot of my 32" 3 ply Slingy. It was part of an orphan kit we built at a drum shop I worked at. 32,15,18,20 were the sizes. My guitar player hated that kick drum. My 3 year old son Moonie loves it. He shares a birthday with Keith Moon and is just as wild.
