Only real choice for bass drum heads. DrumArt Rocks!!!!!
It's a shame to see a musical instrument converted to a utilitarian object. ...Like those vintage instruments nailed to the wall as decorations at TGIF Burgers... or made into lamps & tables. Reminds me of musical instrument taxidermy.
Unfortunatly, DrumArt doesnt do anything bigger than 30" :(

You've got a beautiful collection that shows exquisite taste. I hope you're making music on a daily basis. That 32" would deliver an excellent concert voice, worthy of Wagner ,Mahler, or Spirit. Stick w/ musical appreciation, & resist all other suggestions. I have many large bass drums, & use them in experimental music. Maybe they're not meant for the trap set, or you may not think in terms of classical percussion, but they should be played, & not entombed.
Thanks poppy.. one more pic for the "look what sos & so has, it's a lot more than what I have..." get the wife off my back about my drums collection....
Nice collection, BTW..
It is a tom mount and has matching holes for a tom mount on the oppisite side
The "tom mounts" on the side of the drum was for a floor stand mount tubes to go into. Most likey a holder that had wheels on it to move the drum around.Or two tri-pod cymbal stands to hold the drum up.I use to mount the 32" bass drum on the back side of my set with two cymbals stands with mounts like you see on your drum....Mikey

Mikey's right. This drum looks to me to be a concert bass drum, and the "mounts" are original equipment that went with a rolling stand Ludwig had available for concert/symphonic band use.
Here I go again: I've got a 36" concert bass drum with the "imperial" lugs. Also have the wooden hoops, but the calfskins heads that it did have are shot. I have most of the claws and t-rods, and would make someone one-heck-of-a-deal! Shipping wouldn't be cheap, however...
Also, I've got a late 70s/early 80s 6-ply 32" concert bass drum shell and wood hoops plus a Ludwig brand fiber case. It's drilled for imperial lugs, but I don't have them. I'd make someone a good deal on it, too, but again the shipping won't be cheap...
