Mark thanks for posting this. I remember hearing about this guy a few years ago but lost track of who it was. Pretty cool he purchased and restored the original Slingerland machines. Some very nice drums!! And the fact he'll use all combo's of wood gives such a broad choice also! Excellent!

Glenn I agree I really like the fact they make their own shells looking into a solid shell from them.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Glenn....he actually won an Ebay auction for the equipment around 9 years ago,and It's taken him a while to refurbish the molds and machinery. The drums themselves sound great.Check out the billray link to hear the kit.

That 6.5x14 bubinga snare with the red fade flame finish is beautiful, but at $820 it will have to remain on my wish list.

Thanks Steve! Those sound great. Interesting he also had several of the old Slingerland employees on tap for advice and information. That is just priceless to have!

I'm proud to say Bernie have been buds for 30 years. We both started messing with drum customizing in my parents' basement when were snot-nose punks.

Turns out THAT guy is a prodigy at it. He did Neil Peart's red Tama "Moving Pictures" kit, along with metric tons of work for Kenny Aronoff, Mick Brown, and many others. And his work is better than one thought possible.

I just can't say enough good about Bernie Stone.
