Joe your welcome. I got to talk to them several years ago at the Chicago drum show. I am calling them today to get a price quote on a snare drum.

Mark, I have met this guy at the Chicago show or at least I think I did. The guy on the business card that I brought home does not look like the guy in the picture on the web site.

But I did talk to a very nice man at the show and he told me he had the tooling from the Original Slingerland factory. He had several shells on display and man they were beautiful.

I think you're looking at $250 or so for a snare and upwards. Not outrageous. I looked into them about a year ago but you can have only so many drums...

Mark thanks for posting this. I remember hearing about this guy a few years ago but lost track of who it was. Pretty cool he purchased and restored the original Slingerland machines. Some very nice drums!! And the fact he'll use all combo's of wood gives such a broad choice also! Excellent!
