Rogers 4 piece Holiday Red Onyx Pearl Last viewed: 4 days ago
If you have a price in mind please let me know as I'm very interested in seeing if we can work out a deal. EBAY and Paypal will abuse you, I have been waiting for a set to pop up here instead of EBAY. I recently sold 2 basses on EBAY which brought around $1500, by the time EBAY and Paypal took their cuts it ended up being 10-15% that's alot if you ask me!!!
You have a beautiful set of 60's state of the art Rogers drums that I would love to own. I do, however, take exception to the post of forum member, fatty. To him, I say:
There is always a cost of doing business. My advice is: kwicherbichin'. It is up to the seller to take into account the cost of doing business before setting a minimum selling price. Your blanket criticsm of some of the most successful selling outlets and methods of secure payment speak of a lack of knowledge of business, and a paranoia of the big guys being out to take advantage of you. Having said that, I too, would prefer a one to one transaction with a seller where my own negotiating skills could be matched with the seller's wants, needs, and skills.

Sorry to have upset you leedybmp......anyway,
The original poster said he was interested in selling these drums. I am excitedly watching for them to come to market if he in fact does choose to sell them. I think they are great and would be proud to own them!
Since I'm not a collector, or a drummer, and new to all these forums, I'm just beginning to understand what these drums really are. I'm trying to establish a fair price in my mind, then make a decision as to whether or not to sell. When and if I sell I hope to have many collectors aware of the listing and fully informed on the condition of the set.
So I appreciate all interest and comments. It's very helpful. But unfortunately for all interested parties, I am not going to fire-sale the set.
Anyway, it feels pretty cool to own a drum set that people who know drums have respect for.
Thanks!!
That last post really shut everybody up!
