Rogers 4 piece Holiday Red Onyx Pearl Last viewed: 4 hours ago

I've been thinking of selling this vintage kit. It was my neighbors when we were kids (1970's) and I bought it from him when he modernized (1980's). It's in excellent shape. I think it's 1964.

It's never really been cleaned up. I was thinking of doing a little restoration, but came across this website and decided to post before I do anything else. 20 bass, 16 FT, 12 tom, and matching Powertone snare 5x14.

I'm trying to put a value on this as is.

I'll put some pictures up soon.

How was it modernised? New holes drilled? Old hardware still around? Original hoops and hardware present? Those things would weigh on the value.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Sounds like his friend just bought a newer style kit in the 80's...hopefully the kit hasn't been modernized...

This set was not modernized. He bought a new Ludwig set and sold me the Rogers. It seems that all the original stuff is there and in good shape. I never did anything to the set.

But, the neighbor went backwards rather than more modern when he changed drum sets.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
