they must be dayton and a special order, as the two mounted toms are big and they each have their own single tom holder,, a very different setup and pretty cool..

Thanks for your help, I'll email him. I'd love to have this kit and make sure it's preserved.

newschool,

Do you know if this kit is still for sale? I haven't had any luck finding out myself. Thanks!

I think the real value of this kit is the story. The actual drums are as valuable as any other similar Rogers kit from that period. Get as much documentation as possible. The unique tom mounts help when there are pictures from the 60's showing him playing the kit. It's the whole package that's a valuable relic of mid-western rock from the 60's. If somebody buys these from his son get a signed letter from him telling his story of his father's music history and what he remembers about the drums. Get a picture of the son standing by the unrestored kit and then one after restoration.

I do not know the status of these drums.

I did list the son's email address on an earlier reply in this thread.

I would think your more than welcome to contact the son

and inquire about the drums.

Let us all know if you do and would.

thanks

I emailed him a month or so ago, never heard back. I guess they've been sold or he changed his mind. I thought maybe you knew the son and could find out what happened to the kit. Thanks again.
