I have a hot chick daughter too, (22) she`s into hair and muscle cars.

I have been useing my CB700 cuz family makes drum money hard to come by after my D-506 was stolen. It will buzz alot from the bass drum and bass player, I solved that problem by pulling the snare wicked tight, then kicking the kick drum and turnning down the ajustment knob till the buzz stops and then hit the snare drum harder !! I use clear Remo Emporer on the batter and Remo single ply on the bottom. It aint no 506, but it sounds good hit very hard !!

If you decide to buy her a kit, for rock, get her the best of the best...Phonics !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Ironnically she is a car chic too. I have 3 grown sons (22-30) that none of them followed in my musical, or gear head footsteps, but my daughter did. She loves muscle cars, hot rods, and VWs and works on them too. She does her own work on her Vintage Bug too.. She's the son I always wanted, lol..

And yeah, she's a rocker.. So, I'll have to help her out with a good rocker kit eventially.

Now that I think about it, I think that Odball is correct. I once had a CB700 snare and it did look very muck like yours.

Yep, after his assessment I did some research based on that, and am totally convinced he is correct also. It is a CB700. I was hoping I might have scored an lost ***el, but it's ok, I think for the $30 I paid for it, did pretty good regardless and it is one the daughter can beat the hell out of until we figure out if we want to invest in a decent kit for her later to add to her music talent.

Thanks for the info guys..
