Welcome to the "sickness", you will never be the same! Mind Blowi

Nothing more classic vintage than an early 60's Ludwig WMP kit. Beautiful!

Bos...the sickness hit me a long time ago, so I'm glad to be here with others who share my joy and pain! Ha! Lucky...that is indeed the White Marine Nicoteen kit that teenagebrain had posted up on this site. If all goes as planned...I should be getting the matching Supra by Monday! Keep you posted. Cool. I just got my first vintage Ludwig kit, 1967 Super Classic in Blue Sparkle! Absolutely love it.

From ElMoonlightDrummer

been playing for years. My kit as of lately has been an '06 Ludwig Classic Maple in champagne sparkle (which I love), but I recently purchased a '63 Ludwig WMP Super Classic kit from VDF member 'teenagebrain' and am super stoked to have it! Just gave the shells and the chrome a little polishing and they look and sound great! I hear from teenagebrain that he also located the matching Supraphonic snare for this kit...so I'm pretty sure I need to get that from him. All serial numbers on this kit are super low 4 digit and in the 1000-2000 range! Just wanted to introduce myself. Hopefully I attached the pic correctly....

I actually dig the DW 6000 Hardware, but only use it with my 2006 classic maple kit now. As old school as it appears to be...nothing beats the real deal with 60's flat-base stands, which I have acquired over the past year. Now I truly have the best of both worlds...total modern outfit and total vintage outfit. I'm also working on a 58 Ludwig/WFL project kit that I picked up a few months back. This baby was rewrapped in a satin flame finish (yuck!) and drilled out for MIJ tom mounts but will bring her back to her classic glory in the new year.
