It's from the Slingerland history at Cooper Vintage Drums. That's a cool site. If you've never seen it, the url is http://www.coopersvintagedrums.com/newslinghistory.htm.The point of all this is just that the drum in question isn't a late 1940s model. It's from the early 1950s.
