Just got these Club Dates... this kit is immaculate...came with Ludwig snare box, speed king, cow bell, drum key and woodblock....And a pristine 1964 Ludwig catalog...They sound fantastic...super resonant...I want to gig with them but I'm afraid to take them out of the house!! Happy Holidays...Merry Christmas...

Wow! I'm a sucker for both Clubbies and red sparkle finishes. That has em both. Congrats on a great find. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to expose them to 'gig conditions/situations.' Depending on where you play, you might want to buy a 'bar-kit' for gigs and keep that one safe at home for your own pleasure. A kit like that is also an investment that will increase in value with time. Take good care of it.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

That is a nice kit!

I really can't blame you not wanting to gig the kit. I don't gig my vintage stuff... I use a Gretsch Catalina Club and will use an early Ludwig Rocker that I've nearly finished restoring for gigs.

Lots of folks do gig their vintage, and I don't play rough places (been there, done that) but it still is hard on drums just carting the around in their bags or cases. I will use the vintage in the studio.

Like purdie said, get a 'bar' or gigging kit, and thump that red sparkle beauty at home.

ZOWIE . . . NICE . . . I have had several club date kits. . .the champ sparkles were my faves as far as sound !! Yours is SWEEEET. . . Listen. . Case'em up and PLAY THEM OUT !!!. Unless its a biker bar gig where you know there is gonna be BS. . ENJOY Them in the gig situation. Show'em off to the band mates and get a real feel for why they were made. I play vintage and modern kits [91] out and in all of the gigs I have played nothing has happened to cause any harm.

You will get a real idea of what their potential is as far as portability, sensitivity volume and just over all MOJO. You can't get all that at home by yourself. CELEBRATE THEM !!!!!

I mean no offense but if they were an extremely rare wrap in rare sizes I would understand but RED SPARKLE Clubbies need to be carefully and respectfully played !!!! band2 Congrats and ENJOY Those lil Tubbz!!!

Keep em Flying ! ✈️
