I guess its the nature of web forums with big followings. You guys will know what happens if you get a crowd to clap in time, they ALWAYS speed up. Maybe its good that someone air their feelings(good or bad) from time to time, it gives us all the opportunity to reset the tempo.

Hey, fatty!

I have five of those toms in WMP, three 14 inchers and two 18 inchers but, I'm not selling one to you! If I did, I know that I would miss having them around even though they are doing nothing but, accumulating dust. Maybe, I'll convert them to end tables. Maybe, I'll just put them out in the trash! Anything is better than making a fellow member happy. Stop your whining! Get a new hobby! Philately might be good .

I love your sense of humour!! We need more of it. Have a great New Year!

From roundbadgedude

i have been a long time member of this forum and have enjoyed successful sales and purchases for years, enjoyed meeting great enthusiastic vintage buffs and sharing knowledge here.but it seems in the past year, esp in the for sale section, SO MANY PEOPLE are bickering and slandering each other and their gear for sale.its getting ridiculous.long time assets to this forum (such as mikey777 and johnnyringo to name afew) have been coming under fire for their business practices. people new and old to this forum are constantly complaining about other members and starting petty internet fights over stupid semantics. what the hell guys?? why is everyone being so b!tchy lately?? i owe this site a debt of gratitude for the knowledge ive gained towards vintage gretsch and ludwig drums and am very grateful for it.i dont know if its just jealous, broke window shoppers or people who enjoy starting crap but its getting out of hand. used to be a great place to hang, now its a sh!t show and a b!tchfest.

Just do what I do roundbadgedude.....I take breaks from the forum, some more extended than others. I've been away from the forum for about a month now. Got the urge this morning to check a few things out. Sometimes you just need to take a break, you know? Like others say though, if a particular post is bugging you, either ignore it, or just report it to the moderators. Either way, it will work itself out and the good guys will return.....

He may be on to something..... Only 26 posts? C'mon! I was hoping to read some half-cocked rant at a rate of about one per hour today! Jeesh guys, way to suck the life right out of a real promising flame thread!

I'ts what makes a forum.. How boring would it be if everyone was in agreeance on every little thing... and with so many differing points of view this makes it interesting (for me anyhow)..

How hard is it to keep 5 or six guys (even in the same band) in harmony on a direct course?? .. Compared to so many other forums this one is a winner IMO..

Cheers

(Thanks Tommy) It was an afterthought..

When you have over 11,000 members and you have a for sale section some toes will be bent , some may be crushed and some may get cut off but I have been here a long time and I can tell you this place and the way it is run polices it'self. What i mean is that trouble makers are not only scorned by the Moderator they are also scorned by the membership and frankly just do not have a chance.

When you sell here or buy you add a ingredient that no one here has any say so about and that is the way it is shipped, stuff gets lost, it also gets found. for the very low percentage of complaints I have heard this place is heaven enjoy it or seek what you are looking for somewhere else. My hats off to Tommy and David and to the great membership here at VDF I left all other drum forums a long time ago this place is a class act.
