Ludwig Ringo-like snare

What would the value of something like this be? I am interested in purchasing it but do not want to overpay. It seems to be a different wrap than the Ringo wrap. The interior is clear which seems odd for a keystone badge.

wrap looks in great condition so you'd want to make sure it's not a re-wrap

The rims look like the new Gibralters, with the massive swoopy ears. The throwoff looks like nickel where everything else is chrome. The wrap just looks wrong.

It could be me that's wrong though...:)

That's some of the re-issued 60's Oyster Black so the drum is definitely a rewrap. Ludwig has used this wrap on various new drums but this appears to be an older drum with newer wrap. The swirl pattern and the colors are the giveaway. It has the character of the old stuff but does not look the same when you see them side by side.

As a rewrap I'd figure it's about a $300 drum tops. Someone might pay a bit more if they were desperate for a "Ringo" snare. That same drum in original factory OBP (put on by Ludwig in the 60's) can sell for anywhere from $1500-$4000, which is why rewraps in this finish are popular. Fortunately they can't quite perfectly copy the wrap so it's fairly easy to spot them.

Now a drum rewrapped in original wrap "harvested" off a 60's bass drum or floor tom is another matter. There you have to look very closely but usually there will be a "tell" somewhere that's it's not quite the real deal.
