I've currently got a 70s Ludwig kit in black cortex being offered for $600 + shipping. It's in the FOR SALE section of the forum.

I thought it looked like a Black and white badge also from the pic. I assumed it was a rocker set.

SHE I would go for Oldschools set because looks very nice and clean.

I will absolutely agree with picking up the Oldschool kit. That's a VERY nice set and a great price ... not to mention, he's a very ethical man to deal with.

The ludwig that matches the set and a Slingerland. I have emailed asking for a photo of the badge on the SLingerland.

She,

I'd say run away from the kit in question. Instead, if you want a NICE set of vintage Ludwig drums, then you should take advantage of OldSchool's kit (Wow!) in the For Sale section. That's about as good a deal as you'll ever find out there.

They look like early Rockers to me.B/W badge, standard lugs, power sizes;can't tell for sure, the photos are terrible. The bass drum tom mount was modified to a classic looks like.Over priced none the less.

Well guys, I responded to the add to check out the old Slingerland snare and the unidentified cymbal but not the Ludwig set. That thing was beat up anyway.

I picked up the Slingerland snare and the cymbal for $70. The Slingerland is a black badge, made in the USA model with a case. The cymbal is a Zildjian Avedis that has no signs of lathing. I wonder if someone buried it. It has 4 rivet holes and is very heavy.

I think you did well for $70. Just the cymbal is worth that much. Do you have a way to post some pictures of the snare and cymbal. A close up of the stamp on the cymbal will tell us what year it is. What is the size of the cymbal?
