Looks like it. I couldn't see the stamp before I removed the head.

Is it just me, or do those internal screws look like nothing Ludwig used in the 60's? Chris
I haven't the vaguest idea. They look like the screws used in my '58.
Do those photos make the drum appear to be a 5 1/2?
Or IS it a 5 1/2?

They're correct, !!! Ludwig issue.
Never seen them before after countless snares. Not that it matters as Ludwig anomalies exist !!!

I don't see why it would not be.
What is confusing you? If it is the taller shell, relax. I've got one also, and they are well documented from the first couple of years of production. The actual shell heights vary between 5" and 5.5" and points in between. Mine is pre serial with a date stamp of November 18, 1963.
