From blairndrums

Did they copy Rogers at all?I think I saw a kit once with fake SWIVO mounts...

Yes Pearl did copy Rogers lugs.I have some of them copys of the B&B lug these copys i have are made just like the Rogers ones. The mounting screw mounts onto a flap piece on the back side of the lug like on Rogers they even have a piece of felt around the spring inside the lug..They are so good that they could pass for some Rogers lugs...These were on drums with the name of St.George.....Mikey

From leedybdp

Pearl, in particular, copied the hex rod/ball & socket designs in the 60's. That's one more reason that I have an extremely low opinion of that brand.

So right!! leedybdp, Pearl copyed so many things, Slingerland,Ludwid,Gretsch lugs mounts ete..Star made drums did the same thing Sonor, and Slingerland..I had this bass drum years ago that had some very good copy's of Ludwig lugs they looked spot on they did not have the tip were the mounting screw goes into like on a Ludwig lug..The name of the drum was HollyWood..I still have the badge from it....Mikey
