Everything For Nothing Last viewed: 10 minutes ago

I understand, but disagree. Sometimes people handle large quantities and do not necessarily have the time to post every detail. Also, sometimes people just got the item and need a few days to research the price on line, or connect with a friend to get advice on pricing, whether all of the parts are original or not, etc., but want to start putting the item out there to see if there is any interest.

I have the right to do whatever cause it's a free country..... I'm entitled.....I just wanna do this because of what I've got going on..... they do it this way there,

This sounds familiar to me cause I'm guilty of the "My Mentality" too.

But I don't have to apply the "My Mentality" it if I don't want to..... hmmmmm....??

I've been following this thread for awhile. I think the issue is very easy. The moderators should require photos and a price posted.

I can tell you from personal experience that when I encounter an ad without a price or photo I just keep moving. I am not interested in long drawn out offer discussions because the seller has a price in mind.

Prime example is Ned I. of the Vintage Drum shop in Iowa. He would always post nice pieces with "best offer over...." and bad photos - often not even of the drum for sale. Talked to him numerous times over the years and always hung up in frustration. He lost alot of money in sales to me alone. I bought elsewhere. I don't even look at his site anymore. Don't even know if he is still around. On the other hand, I see an item with Steve Maxwell, the photos are great and accurate, the price is what it is, and I buy it.

Bottom line, if you want to sell an item, list it with a price and photo or two. Just my take.

... and with that my friends, this thread has covered all the bases... and then some! Opinions vary, but there have been some excellent comments/thoughts. So until the next time... locked!
