Soap box time ... for just a bit.

It bugs the snot out if me ... posting something in the For Sale section and not posting a price. That's insane. I understand you want to make top dollar. So take it to eBay and let the world have a bidding war. But this is a forum. It's not an auction house. The section reads "For SALE". That really should say it all.

Please, post prices with your items. Most of us are guilty of this. I'm sure if I searched out old threads I created, I would probably find one I dropped the ball on. I'll work hard to remember to post prices. Maybe we all can agree to this? Maybe?

I agree – the offers game is annoying. If you know the price

you can decide if you want to pursue...

This saves the seller a lot of low-ballers and tire kickers.

Helps the buyer to know better if he's interested as well.

Thanks for posting this Rog........!!

Ok, so I posted a description of some Slingerlands to make an offer. Last time I posted an item for sale with price (Radio King snare) I was low balled to tears. It's my prerogitive to allow someone to make an offer. It seems like there's lots of guys with deep pockets and short arms and nothing better to do than ask for more pictures. If this post gets me in hot water with Forum monitors, I apologize. 27thLancer

I think it's good to post a price.

I also like the idea of posting something and asking for offers.

That way - if someone is looking for that particular item they can make a fare offer to the seller. I think we all want deals and it feels great to win an eBay auction at a low bid.

However, sometimes it just feels good to pay someone a fare price for something you want and they want to sell.......both are happy. That applies especially to a Forum like this where we all have similar interests.
