Camco values Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Hi everyone. New to this forum and need your advice. I have a couple of sets of early Camco drums. One that I have had for over 44 years ( an Oaklawn 3d moire. 13, 14, 16, 20, and 14 snare) and an Oaklawn maple kit ( 13, 14, 16, 22, and 14 deep snare) the maple set has been restored several years back and I would consider it to be in good condition. The 3d set has seen a lot of use and does show it' s age with some scuffing and bearing edge cracking in the finish. I now find myself needing to downsize

as I do not play much anymore and retirement dictates that I must part with many of my beloved possessions. I live in Canda and have considered selling both sets on eBay, but I have no idea what I should ask for them. Any comments out there would be appreciated. Thanks,

Sorry guys, I should have included some pictures, and I will do that. Right now I just wanted to get familiar with a forum as I have never used one before. Bear with me and I will try to gather more usefull information and attempt to get myself up to speed on how to use a forum.

Check under the "General Drum Questions" for a thread on posting photos to this site. The big deal is making sure your file size is small enough. Looking forward to seeing your photos.

Thanks for the welcome, I will try to get up to speed and learn how to use this forum properly, this is the first time on a forum for me and I want to learn the protocol and how to add pictures and such. I use an iPad linked to my iPhone

as I have no Internet service at home so everything takes me a little longer. I will get those pics up shortly and a more thorough description. Both kits have been packed away for some time.

Welcome!

I always to do a quick scan of ebay completed auctions for pricing. That quick scan on what you have described would indicate your moire set would go around $800 to $1000.. the Maple kit around $1,500.00.

However.. I could only find two representative completed auctions so that is a pretty small sample.

I would have expected to see higher prices... but that's what the ones that sold went for.

Not a Guru... just interested..
