These were my father's (the original owner). Now they are mine! They sound great. They came with the original heads too, but I put new ones on for playing and had to buy the stands and cymbals. Kit is: 4x14 snare, 8x12 tom, 14x14 floor tom, and 20x14 bass. Im just wondering were I stand with a kit like this. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance!

p.s. In the pic I didn't have the reso head or hoop on the floor tom and the bass drum looks weird tilted like that...i hadnt put the right leg on yet either...lol But its all there

Well, I fell outta my chair! And, it wasn't just because the kick drum is tilted.

That's a great looking kit, and well worth owning.........from a monetary and playing standpoint.

Beautiful!

I just found my Champagne Sparkle kit- 20/13/16. It's a finish that always looks better in person.

You just need some vintage (or vintage style) hardware to complete this. all that double-braced chrome is blocking my view of the drums!

Oh yeah, I would LOVE to have a 16 floor tom to go with this set...doublefloor toms to me is just SWEET! Guess that wouldn't be a matching set though huh? Or it would no longer be the "downbeat" kit right? Anyway it goes, I love it. How much is this set going for in the collector's market?

It would be a 'Downbeat Guy' set if you added a sweet 16 floor. :D

Ahh, who cares about collector's markets? If I had that, I would add a 16 and a 13 and PLAY! Champagne sparkle is one of the coolest wraps ever!

Very nice DB kit! You should see how classy they look with the proper vintage hardware package. Your new stands are good for working situations, though. Sweet!

I will look into this for sure. I am very interested in getting a second floor tom at the very least, for this kit. Hell, even another high tom tom to boot would make it REALLY killer! Whats the over all concensus on cymbal/hardware selections for this kit? Im just begining to really get into the drums, as I am a guitar player of 14 years, so I don't think Im qualified enough to judge something like that. I mean think about it...up to this point the only cymbals I have played have been these(Sabian B8's rock type) and on other people's kits that I hop on when the chance rolls around. Follow me? What I wanna know is what the "old Schoolers" think. I just love the way these drums sound when compared to newer/modern drums...and to ME, only being a drummer of around a year, I think these are WAY MORE FUN to play. Makes me wanna just flam all over the place...lol I dunno how to explain it. D' Drummer Anyway, Im not interested in selling, as it was a gift to me, but I know my drummer for my band was telling me he was gonna kill me and steal my snare so I looked it up and was blown away at some of the values I saw (which in my research there were only a few to be found). lol
