60's Slingerland hardware. Repair, or replace. Last viewed: 28 minutes ago

Hi All,

Some advice please. My 60's rail mount top clip assembly that fits into the 12" tom diamond plate has loosened. There is a good amount of tom movement when hit medium hard.

Can it be carefully tapped with a hammer, tightened somehow, or spot welded? If not can just that top part be found?

Hope I 've described it ok.

Thank you

You can get a new one from Steve Maxwell. I think they are $25.

It sure does look like something you could get an experienced welder to lock down for you.

I don't think you could smash that back out with much success.

They do show up every now and then on eBay. I'm going to dig around the basement and see if I have one. I'll message you if I do.

YES to all of your questions.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

YES to all of your questions.

Thanks a lot.

I may try to find a welder, mostly so I can retain the original part

I would try a few drops of clear epoxy.
