No need to apologize for the Rogers hardware. I have rogers hardware on my Oaklawn kit and -it works!- Bottom-line, the Rogers hardware improves the kit in terms of reliability. Rogers hardware is rock-solid and in my humble opinion improves the quality of the kit immensely.Gorgeous set of drums you have there. Wish I had the coin... I wouldn't mind owning more Oaklawn Camco's at all.John

Hey PS;

Appreciate the posting v. much. All I can say is the Swiv-o-Matic worked for me too. Hope to hear from you again. btw; Love your forum moniker.

Hi KevinThanks for the heads up on the site.Upfront I'm a" no-tech" guy. I used http://drumdrome.yolasite.com/as the site to show pictures because I don't know how to add these photos to this site. Secondly, could you perhaps try that site again?? I can't imagine [literally] why the site can't be accessed. I just did it.

The link you have posted now works.... the typed address you gave before did not, thanks.

What's your asking price?

Hi Kevin

I'm trying to establish that. Please feel free to offer what you think these would be worth to you. I don't know what they're worth. Maybe I need to go to some part of this site where people ask old Camco hands in the community those kinds of questions. I'm new here myself. If there is such a place maybe I could/should be directed? I'm interested in a fair market price without giving away the store or trying to pull anyones pants down as Steve Gadd has been quoted as saying

At the moment I'll re post what I told Jomeli57 and hope it's satisfactory;

As I said, I'm asking people to make an offer they consider reasonable.

This is my reasoning. It's not that I'm playing footsie. In the past 6 months I've occasionally seen folks asking [and not getting] ridiculous money [$5000] for stuff that is in middling condition at best. Some of the best stuff I've seen--and I don't claim to have seen everything--is in the $2600-$3000 range. some decent stuff has gone in the $1900-$2400 range. In good faith, all I'm trying to do is establish a fair price on these. Thats why I posted here. VDF is a community of really knowledgable & straight up players and collectors. Anyway I hope this is not an offensive way to sell something

That would be me backbeat- I plead youth--and a general lack of foresight and understanding that there would, one day, in fact, be a future. And that both me and these drums would be in it together. CHS3

Are you positive of the sizes? They look like a 22,12,13,16 set up? I have an Oaklawn 14x24" and it has 20 Lugs

24" Oaklawn Bass Drums are extremely hard to find. Beautiful set you have there! Did you special order it without the snare drum?

The set was a special order. As for the snare, at that time I was playing Ludwig Supraphonics and loved them. Didn't see the "need" for a wood snare.

What did I know?
