Hey Tommy,I mean your bagde has a blue cast to it where mine is plain silver{mill finished alloy}.Duco is a kind of paint that was used on drums until the end of the sixties as versus plastic wrap.Duco was hip at first in the old days but was later used only on entry level drums as the plastic wraps became more popular.

Hey Laker, thanks! yeah the rims certainley will destroy sticks in half the time of the more conventional rims! I not sure what duco Drums are, according to what the last guy said, just curiuos, as to what you mean about the blue cast on the snare, the rim? I'm just a novice on the vintage kits. thanks for replying!

Duco, Is of course a certain type painted style. but Duco stands for Dupont Colors! dupont was and is the main paint supplier then and now. in the 20's-30's Duco drums where actually the higher price drums, than a wrapped shell was.
