Yes, it has a muffler. It looks like it could be original to the drum as it looks old but I'm just not sure. Ludwig wires of course! Actually I have a set of 16 strand Puresounds to try on it but the Ludwig wires that came with it sound very good.

Great score, Steve!

I believe that I've got the identical drum, with the "Ludwig Trademark" logo on the panel just to the left of the strainer. I've been trying to properly identify the model since I got mine. The confusion seems to be with the location of the logo on the shell. Can you definitively identify the model of yours?
