Problem with Vintage snare drum
Take the drum, turn on the snare, take picture of the bottom with snare engaged. We can go from there.

Lead don`t pack, but it does form into, so don`t try to use two or more pieces, slightly too big and remove extra.

That was done with a hand drill, or water-let`r-out`er. High speed wont push in the shell like that. Sometimes if you lay the outside of the shell on...

You may have to try it a couple times, hold your finger on the inside of the hole when polishing the outside.

If you buy new at a store, bring the drum with you, if you buy online, you take your chances.

Before tightening the rods, move the hoop around and finger tight them, play with it til they are straight. or,.... As close as you can get them.

It`s something I started a while ago. If your T-rods do not align straight up and down, when you turn the rod, it will pull the hoop towards the shell...
