what is this ludwig snare?

Loading...

alright,if i did this right, you should see some pics.this computer is weird on loading pics on forums.sorry for the pics as the camera died on me while taking these.

anyway,my boss gave me this when i bought some parts(plus another snare which i'll post later) i know its a ludwig, but other than that-i have no idea.my so called vintage knowledge stops around the usual drums you see from time to time.i can't even find any info on it.

its a 3x12,i believe a aluminum shell, wood hoops with tin? inlays, heads feel like paper but the top head (with cartoon artwork from the period) is thicker than the other side,no holes for a butt or throw off.

student drum or kids drum? i don't need it so i'm gonna sell or trade it.but thought i would ask.

Your drum is from the 1910s-20s iam not sure its a ludwig but can be.Drum is a kids drum..Drum should have a strainer knob on the top rim and butt side would be a piece of leather...Mikey

thanks for the info.it says ludwig but figured it wasn't anything special and beyond my "vintage" knowledge.
