Set is not Star--looks like a Star set from the 60s-70s..That set is Sonor 1960s why--the big give away are the tom mounts on the tom and bass drum also the cymbal mount on bass drum.floor tom mounts for legs..The set looks to be a rewrap set but look for badges two in all the bigger one will say Sonor with the two drum stixs markings the smaller one will say made in western germany..shells are 3ply with rings or 5 ply with-out rings made of beechwood...one way to tell for sure if its a Sonor set is on the mounts on tom and bass look if you can see two drum sitx's markings or look at the t-nuts on the mounts they will be sloted on top for the drum key also the t-rods on the toms should be sloted too..I would buy them if they are Sonors for 350.00..Mikey

Oh one more thing if you look at the tom mount on bass drum in photo you will see 4 chrome bolts..That tells me for sure its a 1960's Sonor set...Mikey

Ya Mikey you are right. I talked to the guy who has them and they are 60's Sonors. He has another set too in original white pearl with all the original hardware and bass pedal. He wants 1700 Cdn for those ones though. I'm gonna go grab the green ones on Wednesday as it is a three hour drive from where I live. He said the white pearl ones are set up so I can check them out original snare too. Will get pics so you can have a look.

I thought Sonor as well. Great drums at a great price!
