Is this a slingy?

Ok this is wierd we bought this house and i found a drum in it well a shell it has a ink stamp that says Jul 1964 and a large P next to it ,it is 10x14 approx, has round bearing edges and a snare bed so i will assume it is a old marching drum... just not sure of make no badge.. thanks

Sounds like a Slingerland marching snare. The P stood for "Pearl", which meant the shell was to be wrapped.
