Here are some pics of my new Ludwigs. I can't complain about the price of FREE!!!!

I just picked up some new heads and I still need a hoop for the front of the bass drum. I will make one to use until I find a proper hoop for the kit.

It looks like it could be their top of the line Classic series which I think is 3 ply maple. If that is the original wrap with no extra mods or holes it could be worth quite a bit. If the kit has been without heads for a long time or stored wrong the roundness of the drums could be an issue as well as the condition of the behring edges. You can check the roundness with a clear head by spinning it on the drum and checking the gaps. I would take one of the shells to my nearest local drum shop to at least find out what their made of.

Now that that I think about it, they probably are not worth much and sound like crap so I will do ya a favor by taking them off you hands so you don't trip on them in the middle of the night when you get uo to use the bathroom. I would even give you double what you paid.

they are 3 ply maple shells and were stored indoors with heads on them. I would love to find the missing tom. I believe it should be an 8X12 as the mounted tom I have is a 9X13.

Even though it does have a double tom holder, that 13" tom belongs there. The position of the B/O badge tells us that.

Sweet! I don't remember ever seeing that wrap in person. I did see it in pix. Very nice indeed!

I'm so good on you free-loading types. I have friends who've paid $10 for vintage strats and other friends who've received drums, gratis. WHERE'S MINE??!! Well, at least it was JUST a Lud-kit. (Ha, ha.)
