Vintage member saying Hi, and how to sell old gear?

Been a while!

Is there still an active mebership here? Looks like participation is down by orders of magnitude compared to when I used to hang. Hope to see some old familiar names come out of the woodwork here! LOL!

Used to buy sell flip, build, resto etc 10-20 years ago, much still documented here.

I am having the last hurrah with my gear, we moved and I am not playing much nor working on drums any more so started clearing out. I am keeping two kits and a couple sets of cymbals for now.

What's the deal with unloading gear these days? I took a heap of stands, pedals etc to a music go round last week,  sold some cymbals over at DFO. Have random orphan shells, a lot of random vintage parts that I don't want to collate down to the washer. Any thoughts about selling these kinds of things in larger lots, like a Ludwig lot, a Rogers lot etc? Is ebay still the place for this stuff?

Seems thing have changed on ebay, does auction format stimulate bidding like the old days or better to list high with best offer?

Hi Ben, hope all is well! A friend of mine passed late last year and his widow asked me to help sell his stuff. While none of it is new, I'm not sure it is vintage either.

Are you looking for best price or just want it to know the best place to get it gone?

Hey Latzanimal, A little of both. There are a few choice items, but also some remnants/parts that are not particularly valuable, a few that are even give aways.

I do need to sort through it all to parse it out.

Reverb and Ebay will typically net the best return.  Craigslist, Facebook or DFO for the items you just want to move out cheap.
