I love this thing. Just perfect. A great crash or hat.
15" 1950s unmarked Italian 869 grams
Found years ago. Instant love. Usually matched with the 15" Zilco Con.
15" Vibra Zanchi F&F 1032 grams
15" Vibra Zanchi F&F 1044 grams
Might be from the 50s. Not sure. Beautiful hand hammering. Came as a pair.
16" Zilco Constantinople 896 grams.
Super thin and flexible. Gorgeous hammering and lathe chatter.
20" Caravan Old J 1864 grams. 1960s.
This is a weird one. The first Old J I've seen that isn't made of brass. Might be B10 or B8. It's some kind of bronze alloy. I have heard of others being made of B20. Never saw one though.
Really dark and dry, but still musical. Very flexible.
What is an "old J"? I've never heard that term before.
Made in Japan I believe.

Oh, cool. Indeed, I used to have one from the early 70s that sounded great and that I wish I still had. It was 22", thin, dark and dry, and probably $10. Recorded well too.
