"Rare" Jazz Fest (pre-serial) Throw-off Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Delivery of gold sparkle JF with this rare throw-off (I was looking for list of Ludwig throws & came across the Repurcussions page showing this throw - calling it a rare one w/ a $175 price tag ... here's the link to that pg. : http://www.repercussions.org/hppartslud.html).

Is it rare? Is it still a JF without the P83? I've had numerous JF's + have not come across this one before.

Says that you need to update your PhotoBucket account. I heard that they just changed some rules to try and make more money so posting their pics on other sites is pretty difficult to do for free.

You can just upload the photo right to your post here. There is a size limitation (I think the largest dimension has to be less than 1000 pixels) but otherwise is easy enough. Just resize the photo so it will fit then click on the "manage attachments" box under the text box and upload your picture to this site.

I figured that was the strainer you were referring to. Used in the very early 60's. Actually called a P85 Large Pioneer strainer. There was another three point called the same. Yours uses the same holes as the p83. Would be time accurate for that drum. Just Ludwig using up old parts to make something instead of wasting parts.
