How Many Brook Mays Rogers Drums were made? Last viewed: 4 minutes ago

I'm curious to know if anyone has a general estimation of how many of the Brook Mays Rogers kits were produced? There isn't much info on them other than that they were sued by Yamaha and had to file bankruptcy.

Too many............................. The drums came out near the end of the Brook Mays "expand or die" period during which they expanded their number of stores, and then died. I don't need to lay out the story that is public knowledge about the Texas-based chain acquiring single stores and other local chains in several states before their demise. They were one of my accounts for many years.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

ok, thanks for the info. I was just curious because I just acquired one of their maple kits (that Bill Crowden helped work on) and was curious how many were produced...from what I have read, they are relatively rare.

Very few Beavertail drums were produced by Brook Mays. They were in the last year during the time of the lawsuit. And bankruptcy. Yamaha got the name at that point.. and killed off everything that was being made.
