I don't see Wildwood there. Looks like a stain to me. Curious if the is a butt joint for the ww covering. There are no striations or figuring in the wood either. It was offered in orange, blue and green. Most ww drums have some mix of colors. Hard to make a set back in the day that matched.

The sizes are off too. Although they would of done anything upon request back then. There were no 13" stock ww sizes offered in ww. It was eithr 20/12/12/16 or 12/20/16 both outfits with matching powertones.

Good catch Gary, if you are correct. It would be unfortunate to pay that much if it is not Wildwood.

That was my initial thought. Beautiful drums..but I didn't see what I thought was Wildwood.

I had a Wildwood 12-16-20 set. Did some research and never found any info for a 13 tom either. COULD have been special order, but very unlikely. Agree, not exactly Wildwood looking from pictures.\

NOTE: he also has a Pageant snare that has what looks like the same finish. Not claiming it to be a Wildwood drum, description does say Red Wildwood finish. This has B&B lugs - long gone by the time Wildwood was offered in its' single year - 1967.

I'll shoot him a message and tell him he needs to try to verify that it is not just a stripped and stained drum set.

He's pulled the advert based on a number of responses regarding the finish. He says he could be mistaken, but thought that is what he had. He did say that some messages were aggressive. I hope those didn't come via this forum.

I sent him an FYI with some suggestions to check if really a Wildwood. That is what he was told. He appreciated the non-agressive tone, and sent a nice note back, saying he will update the information and price. He has now updated his information and pricing.
