I have only those two pics and I know interiors are gray

The timeline for white marine pearl and concert toms does not "seem to match up."

Yes, bongo like drums.The timeline for white marine pearl and concert toms does not match up.I love them. They would great small toms.
Those are definitely bongos. The shell depths are the giveaway as are the double-flanged bongo hoops. The bongo 6"&8" shells had the same depth... 6", while the concert toms were available in 8"diamx6"depth and 10"diamx7"depth. And the 8" & 10" concert toms were indeed available in WMP. WMP was still a wrap option in the 1973 catalog for all the concert toms and bongos:
