Hi all, I have a Ludwig chrome snare drum that has the number 1584903 on the blue and tan label. It doesn't seem to match to any information I can find online. Can anyone help?

We need to see it, badges and serial #`s are not the best ID.

76-77 possibly, based on the badge only. Does the badge have the pointed corners? Like Oddball mentioned, pic or two would help.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to upload photos to this forum. Any help would be appreciated.

Floor tom would be from the 3-ply era. You didn't post a picture of the badge or its serial number so it's kind of hard to tell exactly how old. Look for an ink stamp on the insides of the drum shell with a date or post a pic with the serial number. Snare is from 1976 or so, again, look for an ink stamp with the date. If they came together and the serial number are close I'd say 1976-77.

Okay, so let's say it is the 1976/77 era drum kit. It is in decent shape. I have bass drum, snare, floor tom, two other toms, three Zildjian cymbals from the same era, a hi hat, stool, Remo heads, three roto toms, hardware, cases and a trap case. What do you think the ballpark selling price should be? If anyone wants to provide an educated guess.

If it's a 24-inch kick, I'll give you, oh... $45 for that drum by itself? :D

Somehow I instinctively knew this is where this thread was heading.....;)

Best way to figure current values is the dreaded Ebay. Search for similar SOLD items like yours. That will give you a ballpark D' Drummer
