Ludwig Salesman Wrap

Loading...

Is it possible to buy the Ludwig Salesman wrap? I need to rewrap an old 3 ply butcher block kit I have and a Salesman kit is my dream kit. I might as well make my own if it's possible.

Not that I am aware of. It's a great wrap for sure though.

The drummer from The Black Keys plays one right? I wonder if his was a special order?

Someone is making it for Ludwig, so if you know who does their wraps, I'd say that's the best starting point.

Alternatively you can check with some of the other companies that have some flexibility in their line-up... possibly: http://walopus.com/

Definetly these guys: http://www.precisiondrum.com/html/wrap.html

My outdated browser won't let me check out Del Mar: http://www.delmarproducts.com/OurProducts.htm

I've never seen the Saleman's Sample wrap up close. I've been told that it is not 3 separate sparkle wraps, but one piece with different colored outer layers, each separated by that black band. Can anyone confirm this?

the materal is exclusive to ludwig til they discontinue the kit. i don't even know if its a cataloged kit but i know it became popular again due to the black keys drummer playing it.

the modern delmar material is made up of the base, then spkl then the top layer which is printed in the colors and stripes. its the same process they do for spkl and glass glitter wraps.

delmar will co custom printed wrap but you have to buy a certain amount of it. i don't think they would make any of the ludwig wrap for you but you can try, or ask ludwig if that's possible.

You could make your own with BD hoop inlay strips from Precision. They'll cut them pretty much any width you like and it'd be cut dead-straight so you'd have a chance of lining it up on the shell. Still not easy, and not cheap, but doable if the wrap is exclusive to Ludwig and you can't get any.

I guess you'd have to really want it to wrap your kit in strips haha...and also you'd probably want to get the butcher block off there first, which I hear is no small feat.
