Ludwig Hercules stand Last viewed: 6 hours ago

I picked up a Hercules line 1375 snare stand. It seems to high to be used for a snare rather for a tom off bass. Anyone know where I can find replacement parts like one of the black wingnut and the basket tip boots ?

(SELLER ASKED $70.00 for snare and stand but sold me the stand for $25)

Sorry can't help you on that, but I'm curious about the snare. They look like Fibes lugs.

Looks more like somebody switched in a cymbal stand base on that one.

Cheers

I was thinking Pearl-ish actually, what with the line down the centre. I don't think Fibes did that, did they?

That is a cymbal stand base. As for the black plastic knobs, they came in several thread sizes so be careful if you by site unseen!

Never play it the same way once.

You are right John. Upon close examination it is a cymbal stand. In between the snare basket and the base, there was another tube. So I got half of nothing. I can solve the snare issue ( found just the base on Ebay for cheap). Now is matter to find the top portion of the cymbal stand, feet and wing nut.

No luck so far on the net.

As far as the snare i took a look but it was a very cheap one with no badge and the strainer looked like one of those cheap Japanese round tinghy.

Yes ... and NOT Fibes lugs. Here's a pic of one of my Fibes snare drums. The Fibes lugs are DIAMOND shaped. Very unique!

As I mentioned before I bought an Hercules 1374 Snare base off Ebay to be able to use the basket that came with the mix of Cymbal stand/snare stand per the picture above.

However I'm a bit confused. The snare basket tube is 7/8 inch, but the hole on the base is 1". I also noticed on the base opening there are 2 slot indicating there is something else that goes in there maybe a plastic bushing that will make the snare basket fit ?

Is there a sheet with specification for the Hercules line to show which one is which ?

In the case of the cymbal stand i have the base and one extension. The base hole is 1''' so the extension is one 1" in diam. now if the other extension has to fit in it it will be pretty massive to hold the tilting/ratchet for the cymbal.

Were the snare stand that massive ?
