I saw this thread for the first time a few minutes ago. I remember that I saw a brown drum case with a star like yours on ebay some days ago.

An update. This would have been posted sooner but I ended up in the hospital shortly after the court date last week.

As of last Monday, this case has been suspended. I have been paid full restitution on all remaining items and even made some cash for my time loss from my shop. I did get full retail value for all remaining missing items since it was all from stock. The guy that robbed me was in the storage locker next to mine and has been forced to move out to another facility, this was a point that I was adamant about because, as the victim, I am not going to be forced to move, so I dug my heals in and was unmoving. If this fool is arrested for ANY reason in the next 15 months, the case will be reopened and he will be prosecuted as normal. I would have liked to see stiffer penalties but the guy had now priors and there was a lot of talking back and forth with the DA, mostly with me saying no thanks to any counter offers he had. At any rate, I am glad it's over (8 court dates) and didn't want to take it to trial unless need be but was ready.

I want to once again thank all of you for the help and support in this matter, the response to this truly went viral and my original posts were seen by more than 600,000 people in the first 14 hours after posting. I am truly lucky to have a group of friends, colleagues, customers and fellow enthusiasts that were so willing to help spread the word. The response was indeed humbling and led to the bulk of my missing items being recovered within 24 hours. So, to everyone that helped pass the word, THANK YOU!!!

Wow. This is in my neck of the woods and I was totally unaware. Sorry you went through all this nonsense and I'm glad it was somewhat settled, although unsettling especially now knowing it was the locker right next to yours!

I will be keeping a closer watch over my shoulder when at storage facilities and I'm glad you can move on from this needless disruption.
