Here's the rub! When people do things like this to their kits,
1) the collector's market value on similar unaltered kits goes up ever so slightly, and
2) the restorers market gets some parts! I'm thankful, personally.

Friendly's went downhill. Last time I went to one it was some of the worst service I ever had. Where about in CT are you? More towards the Thomaston area?
I dig them, and actually went with the same seller off Ebay for my Blue Sparkle wrap.
Cool! Do you have pics? I would love to see your kit with that wrap

Page four has two of the toms wrapped. I'm getting around to the bass drum this week. Got the parts I needed in and just need to do a little more sanding before I can apply the wrap. Also want to get the interior cleaned and re-paint the chocolate milk color.
From fur to fabulous,lol

Awesome! Can't wait to see your whole kit when it is done Clapping Happy2
Bingo! I'm off exit 38. boy that project you have there looks like a handful.
Had some friends who lived in Thomaston before moving to Washington state. Nice area up there. Yea it was a bit of work, but I love getting down and dirty. Once the bass drum is all done you'll never know what it looked like.
I'm probably setting myself up here :D but I kind of did the same thing that they guy the op is talking about. I took some Ludwig Rockers (not that collectible, I know) that were in perfectly good shape and wrapped them in a turquoise sparkle wrap. The red was boring to me and the sparkle finish looked more "vintage" to me anyway. I don't planning on selling these but if I did, I would tell whoever bought them exactly what they are and that they were re-wrapped.
I actually think that sparkle is an improvement over the rather boring fire engine red. Nice job. I was going to ask you about that strange quadruple cymbal stacking until I realized I was only looking at shadows...

thanks! I was happy how they turned out with new wrap.
I can see what you mean about the shadow looking like more cymbals. I pretty much stack cymbals on every kit I have. My favorite is to add two splash stacks (one on my left and my right) over my crashes. More options without more stands is always good :)
Dutchess!!! Now your making me hungry!! There's still a pretty good Friendly's on Cape Cod by the Sagamore bridge. Right by the Christmas Tree shoppe. :D
