Bop iT / Til U Drop iT.I found a 12/20 set like this in WMP at the Salvation Army a few years back. Snagged them for $50. It took me 2 years to find the matching floor tom (for $400) and it doesn't really match due to the deep "butterscotch" yellowing of the first two drums. Still, it's a real nice set.
Hunting down floor toms is a constant pain though. I spent three years looking for a different one before the two year search for the WMP.
A collector friend of mine recommends finding the floor tom first and then building a matching set around it. Usually much easier to find a matching small tom and bass drum, especially in popular colors. I'm looking for a 3 ply 14x14 Ludwig Classic in Blue Sparkle. Seems like that would be an easy find...but no.
I appreciate everyone's insights! Are FT rare because some sets were sold without them initally? I've emailed the seller to determine if the FT exists... will see if I get a reply.
